WMRC
Advanced Rider Training
New Racer School
The WMRC Advanced Rider Training and New Racer School is a three-day school designed to teach the fundamentals of safe, competitive road racing and motorcycle control and skill. It is open to everyone — not just those who are looking to race.
While it’s required if you wish to race with us or another regional club, it’s also a great introduction to track riding.
The school consists of three parts: Classroom, Skill Development, and On-Track Instruction at Mission Raceway Park. Each part is held on a separate day and runs rain or shine.
Classroom
The Classroom session is an instructor-led lecture covering bike & rider preparation, race riding techniques, race day procedures, etiquette, flags, and safety.
Skill Development
The Skill Development session is a full-day, gradual ramp-up held at the Mission Karting Track area. Instructors lead laps on the short track where you will apply advanced riding techniques in a safe, controlled environment.
On-Track Instruction
At Mission Raceway Park, you will spend a full day working both on and off the track with an instructor, applying the Classroom and Skill Development lessons while receiving valuable feedback to improve your riding and prepare you to start racing.
WMRC Race License Included!
Graduates of the WMRC New Racer School who register to race will receive that season’s WMRC race license free of charge, plus discounts for regular Track Days in the same calendar year.

Private and Semi-Private Instruction
At any of our non-school Track Days, we offer full and 1/2 day private and semi-private instruction with our knowledgeable and friendly WMRC instructors.
Instruction is an intense experience dedicated 100% to you. It begins with an interview to establish your challenges and riding goals. Your instructor will then ride with you to create a plan and set priorities to reach those goals.
During the Track Day, you’ll go out with your instructor on a 15-minute session. Back in the pits, they will work with you all day to refine your skills, challenge you, provide actionable exercises, and give detailed feedback. Areas covered include:
- Bike Position
- Throttle Control
- Braking
- Vision
- Body Position
- Race Lines
- And more
Instructors meet you at your current skill level, allowing you to learn at your own pace while receiving plenty of feedback designed to improve your riding ability.
Private and Semi-Private Instruction can be added during Track Day registration. Find and register for our Track Days here:
