No fuel is available at the track, however gasoline is available in the shopping centre conveniently located a short distance from the track. Our vendors may offer racing fuel, but availability may vary.
Camping is permitted in return for assistance with helping us set up the track. On the evening before a track day meet us at the track. At 6PM we will be at the track preparing our equipment for the big day. You are welcome to spend the night at the track in return for lending a hand with the setup. If you haven’t been to the track before or are looking for a little more insight, participating in setup will give you the opportunity!
WMRC uses the MyLaps (formerly AMB) timing system for our Timing and Scoring. Participants are required to use a compatible transponder during race events (not needed for WMRC track days).
Compatible transponders are:
Transponders are to be mounted vertically on a fork tube, no more than 4′ above the ground. Line of sight between the transponder and the ground is required for best performance. Metal or carbon fiber between the transponder and the ground will result in poor (or no) results.
Kart transponders (i.e. TranX 160, X2 Kart or TR2 Kart) are not acceptable for use at WMRC events. Kart transponders are for lower speeds and installation only 4”-6” above the ground.
For further information, refer to Chapter 16 of the rulebook.
Your transponder represents you in our Timing and Scoring system. Because of resourcing and system limitations transponders may not be shared between riders. If you are racing multiple bikes you may use the same transponder, providing you switch the transponder to the bike being raced.
In April Speed-Fanatics became the title sponsor of Mission Raceway Park and as a result the facility is currently known as Speed-Fanatics Motorsports Circuit. Speed-Fanatics Motorsports Circuit is located at 32670 Dyke Rd, Mission, BC V2V 4J5.
In a nutshell, you’ll need to gain experience by completing a number of races, learn what it takes to run our events by assisting us and demonstrate your proficiency and knowledge of what it takes to safely race. Lap times are only part of the equation. Have a look at the rule book for the full details.
Our elections are held annually in November following our General Meeting. If you’d like to join the Executive, you must attend the Election, receive and accept a nomination for a position. Where multiple candidates are nominated a vote will be held to determine the winner.
Registering for your classes in MotorsportReg prior to the event allows us to expedite onsite check-in, class compositions and the race day schedule. No payment is made until your are checked in at the event.
To propose changes to the rule book, use the WMRC Rule Book Proposals forum. The proposal must quote the applicable rule and detail the additional wording and/or changes. Proposals will be reviewed annually by the Rule Book Committee.
