There was this past Sunday a Kart race at Mission on the same track and configuration that the WMRC races on. It was the first race ever for Karters on the track. There was a practise afternoon back in July. The fastest time set, which was in a 125cc shifter kart at 1 minute 9.1 seconds. This was done in a regular sprint type shifter kart. The only modifications made were to change sprockets for a longer track. Karts are fast.
