TRACK DAZE WITH WEST COAST SUPERBIKE SCHOOL FRIDAY, JULY 15TH YES, THERE IS PLENTY OF SPACE AVAILABLE!!! Camping at the track is available on Thursday night for the small fee of helping set up the track. Yamaha Canada have once again come through with a great program for Yamaha riders. In appreciation of their customers they will be issuing $75 Yamabuck certificates to all Yamaha riders attending track days with West Coast Superbike School. It is a one time Yamabuck certificate for $75 and is redeemable at your local Yamaha dealer for purchase towards anything Yamaha Motor Canada sells including units, parts, accessories and apparel. You will receive your $75 Yamabuck certificate when you bring your bike through tech inspection. A huge thanks to Yamaha Canada for their support of the sport! Includes Street and Racer Clinics Cost: Street Riders - $190 + HST, Licensed Racers - $175 + HST If registered and paid by Monday evening you will save a further $25.00 These days are open to both street riders and racers. They are fun and controlled and include totally non competitive groups where people can ride at whatever pace they feel comfortable at. All types of motorcycles including Motards are welcome to join the fun. All bikes must be in a good state of repair with decent tires. We are saddled with a noise issue so we require all bikes to either have a stock exhaust system, or, we may need to install a noise damping plug (cost is $25) in any loud aftermarket exhaust systems. In most cases there is no problem with aftermarket exhausts and only the loudest need to be quieted down. Minimum gear requirements are leathers or heavier type textiles, a newer full face helmet, a hard shell back protector and decent motorcycle gloves and boots. Additional Information: For Street Riders: The street group will be led by experienced instructors for their first two track sessions. This will be helpful for knowledge of the best lines through corners and safe passing areas. Track instructors will circulate with the street group throughout the day offering assistance and instruction where required. Helmet cam analysis is available for a nominal fee. For Racers: Track instructors will circulate with the racer group offering assistance and instruction where required. Helmet cam analysis is available for a nominal fee. Friday, July 15th, Track Day at Mission Cancelled We regret that we have to CANCEL our Friday July 15, 2011 Track Day. Our next Track Day is going to be held on Monday, August 22nd. Also, our ART courses are still going ahead as planned. You can get all of that info at www.westcoastsuperbikeschool.com. So that you all are aware the of reasons behind this decision: As you may or may not have noticed, the last track day only had 30 people attend. Partially due to the weather and I think more to do with the fact that the Vancouver Canucks were playing a Stanley cup game that same afternoon. Because of that low attendance, WCSS lost a substantial amount of money that day. This Friday's track day only has 10 people preregistered plus rain forcasted for Thur/Fri/Sat. Plus we are competing with the Western Canadian Championship rounds being held in Edmonton Fri/Sat/Sun. A large group of WMRC executives and club members are heading to this round and we would greatly miss their presence at our Friday track day. There is also racing in Seattle this weekend. And to add to that, The first annual "Great Canadian Biker Rally" is being held in Merrit. It is a 3 day festival with many bands and motorcycle related parties and functions on all three days. BC Supermoto Club (formerly known as RPM Supermoto) is also part of the festival with practice on Friday and racing Sat and Sun. WCSS takes pride in running events Rain or Shine!. In our 10 year history of running schools and track days we have only ever cancelled one event. This Friday will be the second time. We thank all of you have continued to support our orginaztion, and we apologize for this cancellation and any inconvenience it may cause you and your planning for this weekend. We did not make this decision lightly as we know it can be difficult to schedule fun activities with work, family and all of lifes other preoccupations. Again, we are sorry for cancellling, but hope you all understand that we do not have the resources to suffer the same financial loss that we incurred at our last track day. For those of you that have already prerigistered for Friday, we would be happy to put your funds towards our next event on August 22. If you can't make that event and want a refund, please email us at wcsschool@gmail.com Sincerely, Gio Acchione Troy Burstyk
