So I’m just starting this thread to get a idea on why the 636cc was eliminated. I posted facts on the motorcycle explaining that it is in no way an advantage over a 600cc machine. It was me that had the rule changed and now I’ve just discovered that there is no place for me to race except for F 1:15. The executives said it could have been in error so write a post! Well here’s my post so I hope it gets reviewed and talked about otherwise like Scott Borthwick I will probably put my bike for sale. Thanks in advance.

Mark, thanks for posting. Myself and the rest of the executive, along with the rules committee, are looking into your concerns. We should have some answers sooner than later.

    Mark,
Upon further investigation I found out that there is an omission in the rule book under the newly formed Open Classic Superbike class. One of the lines for eligible bikes reads:
    • 15 years or older four cylinder motorcycles up to 600cc.
What should have been added in brackets was this (Kawasaki 636 is eligible)
This class would run concurrently with Middleweight Superbike. In this case all bikes are covered and there is just some separation in classes between bikes capable of running 14’s +, and bikes capable of running 10’s +.
I hope this works for you as you now have several classes that you can ride your 636 in. I apologize for the error and the confusion. Troy.
