Ryan is going to address that in a separate post with examples, etc. Biggest change as per requests: No more time cut-offs in all classes except Formula Ultra and no black flag. Novice rules have been clarified quite a bit.

If they raced Int last year, they are expert now, unless they wish to be Grad Novice.

Jerry, you were made Intermediate before the year ended, and last I looked, you had a license that stated intermediate. That makes you expert.

You raced as an intermediate. That's the cut-off. You must have raced as an intermediate. You did.

    Fairly exhaustive thread now posted.

    http://westwoodracing.com/forums/sh...k-Sections-and-FAQ&p=34336&posted=1#post34336

As noted, I would strongly suggest reviewing the above thread prior to attending tomorrow's meeting. If you cannot attend tomorrow's meeting, please email your specific question to your rider rep (likely me). A thread will be then started with the specific question in the ask the exec section of the forums with the appropriate information.

Thank you all for your patience. I tried to include as much of the questions that popped up in the previous thread as well as to provide the reasoning for the rule.

There will be new procedures for changes to the rulebook beginning in 2013 (with respect to the 2014 rulebook). The process, in general terms will be to open up suggestions for new rules for a period of 2 weeks to be submitted by the general membership. The role of the rules committee will be to weed out frivolous rule proposals (i.e. only guys named Ryan start on pole), as well as to clarify and combine rules proposals (i.e. 3 people have similar proposals, they will be clarified and become one proposal). Individual proposals will then be opened up for online and/or mail in voting by members for a period of 2 weeks. Results would then be compiled and the rulebook updated.
