I "might" have room for 1-2 bikes, riders and gear, waiting on answers form 1-2 guys that have already asked me. I will confirm within a week from today. WMRC members will get priority seating...
thinking of doing the friday with 2fast and sat with motofit.....would be heading down thursday 4:30ish.
Lu. have signed up for any of these, i believe they only take about a hundred riders, then your s.o.l The first one at the end of march was sold out!
transport to the ridge I can take one bike + rider and gear. I'd like to leave on Friday about 10 AM and come back on Sunday night. I'll be staying at the Motel 8 in Shelton. Note: The passenger must have a NEXUS card and docs for the bike. FYI, we just got back from the First Round at PIR - WHAT A HOOT!!!!
Thanks for the potential ride offers.....we have sorted out 2 of the 4 bikes already. I am considering a trailer purchase this week and if I do it will take care of the other bikes in need of transport. I will update later in the week once I know more.
Tim and i are doing sat. and sun. coming down fri. evening. Hope you'll save us a spot Lu. Will ya stay for the barbeque and bench racing sat. after ?
I posted in the BCSB thread but I might as well post it here too. Depending on what happens this week at the Ridge in terms of paving there 'may' be enough paved paddock area for bikes and trailers, however, if they can't get the paving done it is going to be tight for space. When I spoke to Rob from Motofit he told me that they will enforce a motorcycles on the pavement type of policy which will mean trucks and trailers will need to be on the gravel. No doubt there will be some belligerent American who doesn't want to move but Rob said they will 'strongly suggest' he take his big stuff off the pavement to make way for bikes.
If we could back up our trailers to the edge of the pavement, and then set up our tent on the pavement, that would work. Is that what he has in mind?
Yes.....that is the plan. On another note.....the blue (medium) group is sold out and the others are getting close.
Just got off the phone with Rob from Motofit and I have some updates. (1) They started paving the paddock yesterday and are hopeful to be complete by tomorrow so we should be in good shape for the weekend (2) The gate will be open until 10pm Friday night......if you island yahoo's need it open a bit later send me a PM with details and I will see if we can work it out (3) The gate will be open at 7am Saturday morning (4) Registration and tech start at 7am Saturday morning (5) Riders meeting starts at 8am sharp......do not be late.....it will go for 15 minutes only.....short and sweet so please be quiet and pay attention (6) Track drive around in pickups at 8:25 am Saturday......one sighting lap (7) Track goes hot at 9am (8) There will be entry, apex and exit cones in the corners.....they are colour coded to make it easier.....yellow = entry, white = apex and green = exit (9) Passing rules are as follows: green group = on the straights all day & on the outside of turns with lots of space in the afternoon blue group = wingspan (ie 6 feet) clearance on outside or inside of corners black group = passing pretty much anywhere and anyhow just don't cut off another riders nose or take off paint (10) Flags will be explained at the riders meeting but here is a brief summary: Green = track is hot Yellow = caution Waving Yellow = approaching the incident Red = Hand up, roll off throttle, dead slow but do not stop, proceed to hot pit and talk to co-ordinator (Kara) Black pointed at you = complete your lap and come into hot pit and talk to co-ordinator (Kara) Black & Yellow = debris
