Great stuff! I first started watching GP motorcycle racing in the late '80s, the beginning of a classic era of Schwantz vs. Rainey battles on those beastly two-stroke 500s. I was fortunate enough to see the Team Roberts Yamaha YZRs at S.I.R. in '91 at a WERA Formula USA round, where Robbie Peterson and Rich Oliver ran Rainey's and Lawson's '90 machines, and they absolutely walked away from the GSX-R1100 superbikes. They were truly breathtaking to watch.
