Here is the Sat photo: http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/data/satellite/goes_pac_vvi_100.jpg Will that big front stall.... oh please do... It has not seemed to move from this morning's image.
You should have been in Calgary this weekend.... morning practice was -3C with a light rain/snow mix....
I use accuweather, seems to be the best out there. They are calling for sun/cloud on Saturday, cloudy on Sunday. Small chance of rain. http://www.accuweather.com/en-us/ca/british-columbia/mission/details4.aspx http://www.accuweather.com/en-us/ca/british-columbia/mission/details5.aspx
Going with the good news. Bike is mostly ready... epoxy curing as we speak. If it is dry, I will make it... But not in the wet. Should I leave preregistration to the absolute last minute, or does it not matter too much if I don't show?
pre-reg is closed 7 days before the event, so in this case, you can't even pre-register if you wanted to. Luckily, because there was a few issues with the pre-reg server, we are waiving the $50 late entry fee. Otherwise, you'd be subject to a $50 late entry fee because you did not pre-register. Hopefully we see you out there! Rain races can actually be a fun time, but it does look like it will be dry for the weekend.
OOPS. Thanks for pointing that out for me. Yeah, I imagine rain can be fun, but I have decided not to for now. Maybe next year I will get my feet wet
Judging from these photos, you may have needed a boat in Calgary Let's hope for a drier weekend coming up!
That was the most standing water I've ever seen on a track! What was even better was that you could actually HEAR the water whistle and scream as it went through the sipes on the tires! It was a sound I don't wish to hear again for a long time!
I'm out for this weekend to high of chance of wet and I have had my share this year so gonna save some doe and maybe hit a race school this year.
