Hey, I just received an email from XTRM stating that if I don't pay $49.95 USD they will close my account and I will no longer recieve contingency!!! I have heard other racers recieved the same email. I've also heard that you don't have to pay to keep your account. Anyone know for sure either way?? Marbod?? Sean??? I got the same email Jayson. They've already taken $19.95 from my contingency, which is what I understood was the fee for XTRM. Also, when I try to call the 800 number to set up my PIN it won't accept my postal code, same thing with the customer service number. I think you mentioned you were having the same problem.
Yep, I get the same emails too. To my knowledge, if you wish to have Pirelli or Michelin contingency, you HAVE To pay the $49.95USD. My whole dilemma is wondering if I'll even place in my classes enough to cover the 49.95 worth, or will I just lose money paying out $50USD.
Ok so I'm not the only one.. I'm not sure I'm really happy with their pricing, but somehow I doubt there is a way around it... I'd still like to hear from Marbod for the official answer ... is it $19.95 or $49.95?? What happens if you let the account lapse? I know they reset your performance score, but does it matter to us? Can you still get contingency? Do they deduct the fee from your next contingency payout?
Michelin doesnt require 49.95 or 19.95, cards, logins, passwords or secret handshakes. just fax or email your results and make twice as much money. simple yet so lucrative.

Update... Turns out that you don't have to set up a PIN for the XTRM card. I used it at Mspeed this afternoon to buy my super sticky Pirelli tires for July 1st.:\m/:

I am also working on bumping up contingency for our main classes(SBK, OSS and 600) for the remaining 3 rounds. I got an email today from XTRM regarding these racers who are eligible but have not registered for contingency: Please see below for a list of Canadian racers who have earned contingency but are not yet created/registered with XTRM: ? Brian Kamp Some of these may be from other clubs(I don't recognize a couple names on that list). But get your money if you're on that list, it's sitting there waiting for you.
