I've decided to get a camera that I can mount on the bike as well as take snowboarding and cycling etc. I've seen a few videos from both (including the AFM race) but can't make a decision. I like that the Contour is a little slimmer. I think the GoPro looks pretty big sitting on top of helmets etc. The GoPro definitely has better contrast pre-edit. The GoPro's water-proof case can also handle deeper depths (not that i'm taking in the water allot but it would be sweet for vacations). Anyone use one or the other or both?
VholdR has awesome customer service and really stand behind their product. So far they have sent me 3 replacements for cameras that have broken/failed. Just wish the product is as good as the service. Even though I have a new vholdr at the moment, I think I am going to try a GoPro. Tired of struggling with the vholdr. Note that my camera is first generation....not the current HD model.
