Found another transponder for sale here: http://forums.13x.com/index.php?threads/transponder-for-sale.335232/
It's possible the battery won't take a charge anymore. But that can be fixed. There's people locally that can replace the battery. A 13 year old battery has got to be on its last legs. But if the price is right ....
Al has told me the sports car club has a contact who replaces batteries in their transponder rental pool.
Maybe one or two available here: http://forums.13x.com/index.php?threads/amb-transponder-for-wera.336846/
I just bought one used and it says Flex 1 Year on it (probably expired). Seller said it was the non-subscription transponder before I bought it. Will I be able to use this at Mission without renewing the subscription?
The TranX 260 models are non-subscription, I believe the X2 requires an active subscription. Not an expert but, if you can buy a subscription for it, you'll probably need a subscription to use it.
Thanks for the info. After browsing the MyLaps website, it definitely appears I need a subscription. Thankfully the seller said I can return it for a full refund.
Sure would make my Christmas if someone from here bought this:http://forums.13x.com/index.php?threads/transponder-for-sale.335232/
Assuming SCCBC continues in 2017 to rent their transponders to our riders without their own, the number of transponders is limited and is first come first served, no reservations. Please consider buying one.
