Hey Guys and Gals, Great news, we are now selling Rider Bio's spaces in the Raceday Program. The spaces will be 2.5 inches tall and 5 inches wide, I used Font size 10 in the template and would suggest staying under 34 characters including spaces. (This is a short bio not a life story so spectators can quickly read about you) The cost associated is 1 weekend: $25 Full Season: $50 View attachment Rider Bio.pdf If you are interested please email wmrcpromotions@gmail.com with your bio information and a good quality headshot. Excellent idea Bez. I remember the old Westwood programs which would always have a message from the President (hint, hint), lots of adverts from sponsors, a synopsis of the season/previous event, rider bios, a good action photo for the front cover, the requisite "Motorcycle Racing Is Dangerous" blurb (might help to inform the public a little bit), class points, daily schedule, et al. Typically it was only 2 or 3 color; black, green and red or the like. Done like the local newspapers that show up on your doorstep these days. I know Alice McPherson and Kelly Dresser put a lot of effort into them in the good old days before PC's and word processors for the masses. Looking forward to seeing the program.
Great work guys. I'll get a picture together and submit. When is the deadline to get it in for the WCC weekend?
It might be a better description to let people know how many words/letters they can have in the bio. Or is font size dependent on the number of words?
Do you mean 34 characters or do you mean 34 words? Do the 34 characters include the sponsors? The sentence above is 50 characters. It would make for a pretty abbreviated bio at 34 characters.
I agree it's not enough characters for a bio. 50 words (without counting spaces) would be more reasonable for listing rider info and sponsors info.
