Motion to accept was made Jeremy Karlson, seconded by Brett Hanson Treasurer Report: Being that the August meeting was cancelled, Brett Hanson provided statements for both July and August and advised our current bank balance as of July 18th was $124,372.14 Income was $13,318.45 and bills included radio rentals, staffing, supplies, BC Ambulance, track rental , more MDC helmet tags, and an insurance endorsement. Outstanding bills include catering, track rental, security, radio rental, staffing, BC Ambulance, Insurance endorsement, supplies, and the purchase of more med tags. For the August statement, the balance was $140,309.52 with income of $38,129.90 with the following debits outstanding: Staff, A/C repair, Timing PC upgrade, Track rental, (Mission and Pitt Meadows) mugs for endurance race, transponder rentals, BC Ambulance, Printer toner, Fire extinguisher recharge and catering for an estimated balance of $107,447.24 Promotions: Thank you to all the racers, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make our 2018 season a success. Please come celebrate with us at our Annual Awards Dinner on the 13th of October, but get your tickets fast as seating is limited. Tickets are only available on MSR and will NOT be sold at the door. We have great plans for the evening and will have a few surprises in store. Congratulations to Dylan Boehner on his winning the WMRRA lightweight superbike championship!! Well done! We will be needing a new announcer for the 2019 season so if you, or someone you know, is interested in stepping into the Tower of Power, please let us know. New Business: The WMRC would like to extend a big thank you to Bernie Ryan for allowing us to be a part of his annual Children’s Hospital – Starlight Foundation track walk. It is such an honor to participate in this event and to do our small part to put some smiles on the kid’s faces. We had some unusual electrical activity at our last round which resulted in the PA system not being of use to us. Thank you to Al Cruikshank for speaking to the SCCBC on our behalf, and advising that we may possibly have a new PA system next season. If so, we will be requesting that you participate in a pre-season work party to set up new poles etc. Our un-hay baling party will be September 30th! Please be there at noon so that we can make quick work of this clean up. Refreshments will be served!! Thank you to Nick Goodall for his assistance in organizing the bins etc again this year. Please note that our October 8th meeting will be cancelled, due to the annual day of Turkey. Our next general meeting will be held as usual on the 2nd Monday of the month, November 12th, 2018 at 7pm, and will be directly followed by our Annual General Meeting. In conclusion, the 2018 WMRC executive would like to offer our most sincere thanks to all the marshals, sponsors, volunteers, instructors, spectators, families, officials, and tech inspectors for your support this season.
