    WMRC General Meeting Minutes – November 12, 2018

    Members: 33
    Non Members: 2

    In addition to:
    Allan Hay – President

    Jay Tait – Promotions
    Pam Black – Secretary


    Meeting was called to order at 7:05 by Allan Hay

    Minutes from the September general meeting were read by Pam Black. Motion to accept was made by Rob Schoemeyer, seconded by Jeremy Karlson.

    Treasurer Report:
    Brett Hanson provided the statement for October and advised our current bank balance as of November 1st was $124,372.14 Income was $637.05 and bills included , supplies, BC Ambulance, transponder rental, trophies, banquet, hay bale cleanup, and a refund. There were no outstanding bills, leaving a balance of $118,949.65

    Promotions:
    Jay Tait commented on the recent announcement of a shared series between the WMRC, OMRRA and WMRRA, with details still to be sorted out, but at this time at least include “at par” fees for our members racing with them.
    We will begin the work on this opportunity as soon as our 2019 race dates are available.

    We will be needing a new announcer for the 2019 season so if you, or someone you know, is interested in stepping into the Tower of Power, please let us know.

    New Business:
    A special thank you is extended to Bel Par Industries for the donation of 13 cold fire fire extinguishers, as well as to John Cathie for facilitating this great contribution! Because of this generosity we will be able to place a cold fire in each corner and have extra available for the crash truck.


    There being no further new business, Blair Layton motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:30, seconded by Jeremy Karlson.
