I had a few good laps during the last Int 600 SS race, kept relaxed and things felt right but there is no way I did a 1:09 - nope- sorry. the next lap indicates a 1:25, pretty sure I never hit that pace either... when I add those two laps together and divide by 2 I get two 1:17 laps. Does that kind of magic math make sense to anyone? I reiterate, would love to say I did and more importantly would love to actually be able to do it, but I didn't do a 1:09 Sunday. just sayin ... see ya at the banquet!!
Your math makes sense ...but you should have seen your family's faces when the 1:09 was announced! It was almost believable the way you were pulling up toward the front
Yep that's what happens when your transponder goes intermittent and we have to score you manually. I radioed the announcer and told him it was a bogus time. Don't know if he passed that tidbit on to the masses. Sorry to burst your balloon, big guy.
